For parents and guardians

A little space for a lot of questions.

Zuvopa is being built for secondary-school students aged 13+. Here is what the learning experience does, what it does not do yet, and where an adult can help.

Understanding comes first

A learner can begin Study Lab with an academic question, switch topics, ask follow-ups and attach private notes. Optional preferences shape explanations without locking topics. The visual board and practice support reflection; they do not replace a qualified teacher or establish mastery from one answer.

Earlier guided Mathematics lessons retain their course context and saved evidence. The universal teacher can discuss broader academic topics, but not every explanation, diagram or subject is independently reviewed. Zuvopa does not promise examination results or measured grade improvement.

Not every feature is open to every student

Account entry uses reviewed eligibility rules. Where guardian review is required, approval needs a verified relationship and the invited account. Approved guardians can withdraw through Guardian permissions. AI text, narration and live voice have separate server-side admission conditions. Minor-directed ElevenLabs use is not represented as approved merely because an agent exists. Student voice remains restricted while provider permission, safeguards and live acceptance are unresolved.

The intended student audience stays 13+. Adult accounts can use configured AI features after saving an adult age declaration, without a guardian or owner allowlist. An existing teen, pending or blocked review takes precedence. This does not remove provider restrictions or replace the safeguards required for under-18 students.

A teacher character, not a person

The robot is an interface to AI assistance. It can make mistakes and should not replace a real teacher, parent or professional. Students can ask why, compare an explanation, try again or stop.

The product does not encourage secrecy, romance or emotional dependence on the character. A report form is not a monitored crisis service. If a student feels unsafe, help them speak to a trusted adult or appropriate local emergency service rather than waiting for an application report.

What information is used

An account uses authentication details. The learning space uses a nickname, companion, curriculum/year/course, selected subjects, goals/preferences and actual lesson evidence. The supplied application makes learning records private; it adds no public profiles, peer ranking or unsolicited messaging.

Hosting, authentication and AI providers process information as described in Privacy. “Private learning” does not mean that no service provider processes data or that every possible legacy record has been verified.

Microphone and voice

Ordinary visual lessons and text do not require a microphone. Where voice is authorised and enabled, the student must choose to connect and grant browser permission. ElevenLabs processes the spoken conversation; it is not an offline recording on the device only.

The inspected agent has audio recording off, but transcript retention is a separate issue. The current settings do not prove seven-day transcript deletion, and student voice admission checks require reviewed safeguards. Account permission, browser permission, guardian review and provider authorisation should never be collapsed into one checkbox.

Requests involving a young person

A guardian can raise an account, privacy or safety issue through Contact when the secure request pathway is operational. Please give only what is necessary; do not send an identity document, full school record or sensitive conversation recording in the form.

A claimed relationship or access to an email address does not automatically entitle someone to a student’s private information. The operator must verify authority, identity, the student’s applicable rights and local requirements before disclosing data or changing access. Verification methods and the staffed response process remain owner/legal release requirements.

Choices belong in the product

Supported account controls let the signed-in student review/export application records and request learning or shared-account deletion with fresh authentication. Nickname, companion and supported learning choices can be corrected. Known provider conversation records are handled first; backups, TTS history and legacy records may need additional work.

A parent-facing notice is not proof that a consent process has been completed. Requirements differ by location and use. The operator must complete applicable consent, student assent, provider and school processes before authorised validation or broader release.
